He published almost 2000 meditations, and sold over 150.000 copies of his books. This year he is working on some thorough theological books and essays. Together with the artists Heina Dokter en Roy Bergsma he is working on two graphic novels, Het Blauwe Uur (The Blue Hour) and De man die donderdag was (The Man Who Was Thursday, story by G.K. Chesterton). He works as a publisher for Buijten & Schipperheijn and teaches homeless people poetry. In 2006 he married Marisa Rappard, Spanish/English/Dutch translator and visual artist.
