Reinier Sonneveld wrote three books in the series Bijbelse geschiedenis in woord en beeld ('Biblical history in words & images'). Dutch Film Works produced the series: 10 full color books á 200 pages with 2 movies each. I wrote part 7, 8 and 9: the complete New Testament part. Some big (Christian and non-Christian) newspapers promote it: Nederlands Dagblad and Telegraaf. There even are commercials on the National Geographic Channel: for Holland that's quite unique.

The Dutch nano-scientist Cees Dekker and Reinier Sonneveld collaborated to make a wonderful book with 50 stories of Christians: how they believe and why. What's the core of there faith? That's why the full colour-book (with lots of paintings) is called De crux ('The Crux').

Het goede leven ('The Good Life') is about Jesus, justice and peace. The Dutch Evangelical Channel wrote: ‘This book is a must for every Christian. It's honest, critical and challenging: a mirror for the soul. For who is not afraid!’

The Blood of the Lamb is an mindboggling and heartbreaking novel by the Americam writer Peter de Vries. He lived in Chicago and New York and had Dutch (Reformed) roots and was in the sixties famous for his funny novels and movies. Reinier Sonneveld translated his novel into Dutch: Het lam.

Reinier Sonneveld, from an e-mail to the publisher:‘It is an old, extremely old story, but it interests me immensely. Stronger still, I believe it. And I see two billion people around me who believe it. What inspires this two billion? Why is Christianity the fastest growing religion world-wide? Sometimes I ride my bike past a church building, and I still don't get it: how is it possible that all these buildings are topped with an instrument of torture, a cross? How can something like that be inspiring? Later I can still feel it down to my toes, that this is actually the greatest and most gripping tale that could ever be told. Let me try it.’ A short, friendly and contemporary introduction to the Christian faith. For anyone who doesn't believe, a discovery. For anyone who does believe, a rediscovery.
